Animatronic Restoration
I rebuilt mechanical and electrical systems to restore motion and lighting in BalletMet’s 12-foot animatronic nutcrackers.
BalletMet’s 12-foot animatronic nutcrackers needed working motion and lighting for the Nutcracker Ball, but the original schematics were unavailable.
What I did: In summer and fall 2019, I restored the internal mechanisms, developed new linkages and drive systems, and integrated updated electrical components and control hardware. The restored nutcrackers returned to operation for public display.
