Industrial Water Supply System Upgrade
I replaced a failing industrial feedwater pump and reconfigured its piping without interrupting production.
A failing feedwater pump threatened a manufacturing facility’s cooling-water supply, while long replacement lead times put continuous production at risk.
What I did: In summer 2022, I led the replacement project. I installed a smaller interim pump and reconfigured the piping to connect it to an operating line. When the replacement arrived, I completed the swap without interrupting production and upgraded the distribution system’s capacity and reliability.
Tools and methods: Feedwater pumps, piping reconfiguration, and staged equipment replacement.
