Makeathon Solar Panel Project
I helped build and test a solar-equipped model wind turbine in a team project that placed first at the 2023 Makeathon.
Our 2023 statewide Makeathon team explored how ground-reflected light could affect solar energy generation.
What I did: I worked with the team to mount solar cells on a model wind turbine and compare voltage output across different ground conditions. Our prototype earned first place in the AEP challenge and first place overall.
Tools and methods: Solar cells, a model wind turbine, voltage measurements, and comparative testing.
